Improvised performance from earlier this year in Plymouth (UK), incorporating a lecture on John Cage ............

Performance: the act of performing or the state of being performed. The way in which someone or something functions. A presentation, especially a theatrical one, before an audience.
Improvisation: the act or art of improvising. Something improvised, especially a musical passage or a dramatic skit.
Skit: a short, usually comic dramatic performance or work; a theatrical sketch.

Panellists interested in the concept of performance / improvisation / and skit within music, will play audio examples to extend a brief discussion into understanding what it is to perform music. Adventurous, playful and explorative the event aims to reveal the complex dialogues between musician, co-musicians, audience and instruments, and how digital systems are transforming these inter-relations.
